Evolution of the original model by Pellikaan timing. A Dutch classic.

The Flying Dutchman II makes a statement with its robust case that combines quality, functionality and style.  Its proportions of the design are classic yet distinctive.

45 mm robust

Evolution

This is the evolution of the original made by Pellikaan timing in 2008. With a mechanical movement and a small second at six o’clock.

Design, technique and functionality are keywords for the Flying Dutchman II. It’s very legible black dial and white hands are combined with signature design elements with a very understated elegant personality.

For example the perfectly symmetrical sector dial, in which the small second perfectly blends in. The case is large and robust, but the classic Breguet-hands give the watch an elegant face.

ETA calibre 6498-1

Swiss movement

The engine of this watch is the Swiss 6498-1 movement. This is one of the oldest movements still in production and could be called the essence of a Swiss movement.

This hand-wound calibre was originally developed for pocket watches by the (now defunct) Swiss movement maker Unitas. This name is still used for the movement.

The company was taken over by ETA, which has continued to develop the movement in order to make it make it compliant with modern-day requirements.

The finishing of the movement used by Pellikaan timing is elegant, with traditional Swiss decorations like the Côtes de Genève and blued screws. The movement is very nicely visible through the glass caseback.
